A dialogue with Dr Richard Chang in Penang
Penang, Malaysia, August 17, 2024 – The Founder of Semiconductor Manufacturing in China ( SMIC), Dr Richard Chang conducted a dialogue in Penang jointly organised by Wawasan University, WafTech and BlueChip Venture Capital. Dr Richard Zhang Rujing (張汝京) is known as China’s “godfather of semiconductors”. SMIC is the largest contract chip manufacturer in mainland China.

Malaysian Minister Rafizi's Visit to Suzhou Centennial College, China
Suzhou, China, 22 June, 2024 – Malaysian Minister of Economy, Rafizi Ramli, unveiled the plaque at the signing ceremony for the Sino-Malaysia (Suzhou) Industry Institute of Integrated Circuit (SMII-IC). The SMII-IC is a joint venture between Suzhou Centennial College (SCC) and the University of Science and Technology Suzhou (USTS). Penang welcomes three semiconductor businesses

BlueChip joins Khazanah and KWAP in a RM3B Asean Investment Initiative

This was announced at the KL20 Summit 2024. It was witnessed by the Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and four cabinet ministers: Chang Lih Kang (MOSTI), Rafizi Ramli (Economy), Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusuf and Minister for Digital Malaysia Gobind Singh Deo.
